About us

The Latin America working group was founded in 1987. Some of us have been involved in the group for a long time; others have joined in recent years. We are from Germany and Latin America and our backgrounds reflect a variety of experiences. What we have in common are our close ties to Latin America through our internationalist political activism. Life and work experiences in the region as well as activities in Berlin have led to close contacts with people and organizations in Latin America, giving us insight into the current situation throughout the continent. We see the Latin America working group as one way to pursue our internationalist work.
