How we work

We meet every six weeks to decide about applications, which are divided up according to country and reviewed before the meeting.

Every year, we have approximately € 100,000 to award. Given that we deal with an average of fifteen to twenty applications per meeting, our financial means are exhausted quickly. For this reason, we support individual projects with a maximum of € 3,000 to € 5,000.

Depending on the situation, we cooperate with development-policy groups, for example by using their contacts on the ground or, in return, by co-financing these groups′ project proposals. We have no paid cooperation partners and do not finance trips by members of our working group to visit projects.
